Unraveling grip after iii weeks of use Ken Jackson parent
Pros: The bat appearance, weight / general feel and popular are all very good
Cons: Quality concerns - I am returning after merely 3 weekends of employ. The plastic tape securing the grip began to unravel during the First weekend of use. Nosotros put some athletic record around to go on that in check only to accept the actual grip begin to separate at the overlaps, discolor and begin to fray during the 2nd weekend of apply - simply to get very bad by 3rd weekend of use. The Grip is VERY POOR and not at all what I would expect for $350. Put another way, our 2015 LXT grip after ii years of use is in better shape than the grip on our 3-week old bat.

great bat with good pop andrew parent
Pros: skilful bat has given my daughter 10 actress anxiety on each swing. Good pop out of the wrapper has gotten better after a few games and t swings equally the wrapper says 25 swings and rotate the bat and loosen the composite fibers. Prior to this she had a 2014 xeno. The difference in these bats is that the is no vibration in the LXT.
Cons: none so far

Cons: definitely concur with others regarding bat's grip - could have been fabricated better for $350! otherwise happy with purchase.

Alamo Urban center Fastpitch
Pros: Has a lot more popular than her 2016 Xeno. She says it feels more solid on brawl contact. Swings light, we went up 1 oz. size and she said she could hardly discover whatever weight divergence.
Cons: Had to put a new Lizzard Peel grip on information technology afterward 2 weeks. (Cheap mill bat grip). Took about 200-300 soft toss pitches to Really break it in, ** My major gripe is the big MADE IN Cathay stamp on it ** If I would take known where it was made; I would have never bought it . I thought I was buying an American Fabricated product.

LXT is everywhere Jack passenger vehicle
Pros: Every game we play all we see are LXT and Xeno bats...for three years our team has been buying these bats and everyone is now pursuing college scholarships...Most of my team prefers the LXT, only the Xeno is solid likewise
Cons: Our Pitchers don't like seeing them come upwards on all the opposing hitters every AB because the brawl rockets around the field if they don't hit their spots

2nd bat this yr Ashley player
Pros: After breaking information technology in had really good popular. was a great bat while i had it.
Cons: It took virtually two months to intermission it in, a couple weeks agone the handle started moving and then just two days ago the indide of the butt broke and you can hear $.25 and peices of the inside of the bat moving. It was my second bat this year subsequently breaking the 2016 lxt in just weaks, wouldn't recommoned it.

Dandy Bat Ladykqua Guyden parent
Pros: Great Bat. She has the DeMarini CF9 and that's a keen bat as well, but the Hyper took her hitting to a new level... my wife is a big DeMarini fan merely she had to bow down to the old slugger as my daughter was swinging 2014 Xeno.. anyhow. great pop, farther distance, well balanced..
Cons: I inverse the grips to lizzard peel for a improve feel because the handle is pretty slick.. actually I've put it on her DeMarini likewise and her Xeno for better grip and more cushion..

Pros: Bought this bat for my girl, which plays varsity, she will exist taking this bat with her to higher, she does non know why we didnt become her this brand of bat from the start...this bat comes out of the plastic hot, grip is good and she says who cares about the graphics lol. I will definently recommend this bat to anyone who wants to have a bat that has a ton of pop, how hard the ball is hit is upwardly to the individual swinging the bat, this bat does brand a big divergence!!!

Pros: Well, My girl say's she loves this bat, that information technology feels real practiced. I can tell. She hasn't hit one over still but information technology'due south coming. The bat has fabricated her placement hitting then much better and defiantly harder striking balls. I can tell her confidence has risen due to the feel of the bat. To me, the residual is perfect and the sound of a good hitting is clear, it doesn't sound like a doubled upward piece of pipage when she drives the ball. Sounds more than like a solid car wreck. And so far, we are completely satisfied with it. Time will tell on Durability.
Cons: None yet

**Wow** - 2nd at-bat went yard Michael parent
Pros: Inferior girl making contact but ball just not jumping off older composite c6. Play time dropping due to average. Picked up a demo LXT to try out - 2nd at bat against good pitcher took a 3-2 pitch deep over eye field contend. Swing was ever there merely the bat popular has been missing. I'll uncertainty she'll permit me render that bat.
Cons: I'll permit you know - heard in that location are durability issues but only 2 AB'due south on the charts.

Omnibus Bargo coach
Pros: I similar the previous reviewer am a coach. We take had a multitude of bats over the years. Nosotros have had Demarini, Combat, Easton Mako's and past far the LXT is the all-time bat on the market today. The former orange and black CF5 DeMarini was the only bat we have had that came shut to the pop the LXT has Nosotros started iii years ago doing away with the other bats and simply use LXT bats now. We have never had an result with a bat in three years of using the LXT brand
Cons: starting final year the grip was slick Just that's an easy fix I would not call it a con. People get hung upwards on the decals and the fluff. Bats are tools, and LXT is a groovy tool to have.

Noise maker Team Lightskins parent
Pros: My girl and I attended a LSU camp back in January of 2017 and was amazed at the sounds radiating all around the stadium during batting practice. We quickly realized that information technology was the sounds of the LXT. We were using a DeMarini at the time which didnt sound like what we were hearing when it was her turn to bat. The popular off the LXT was something incredible and we both knew that nosotros were going to invest in that bat when we got back to the north. Funny thing is that many people don't swing Louisville up here and her start high school exercise with it came with "is that a legal bat". Simply she loves it so far and rocked a double in her offset varsity softball game. But as far every bit durability, I gave it a 5 considering of its feel and structure but merely time will tell. I never practise reviews so delight accept my experience serious and get this bat. It will definitely give your child more confidence in her swing and power in the flight of the ball.
Cons: none yet.

Pros: Swell functioning right out of the box.

wish the cost matched the quality Risor parent
Pros: bat has skillful pop when new. after 12 months the bat is showing its wear and losing that lxt sound. the bat does have a ton of striking on it from practise, hit with the striking coach and then all the games and tee piece of work at home.
Cons: We went through three broken bats when the lxt came out and this concluding one has lasted for 9 months so far. I call up they fixed the issues since the other teammates are also done having bug.

cheryl
The upgrades that are featured on this 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) are the PBF Barrel Technology (allows for larger sweet spot and power) and improved TRU3 connection (allows for better experience and durability). Besides those features and the cosmetics, the 2016 and 2017 models will be very similar overall.
Ben
Currently at that place are several bats banned past ASA. Any thoughts on this bat somehow being put on that list?
coach
Although I cannot make whatsoever guarantees, I have a very difficult fourth dimension seeing this 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) being a part of a listing of bats that will exist banned for use in ASA leagues. Slugger has been making the LXTs for a number of years and they ever seem to pass the requirements for use nether ASA sanctions.
Ben
Is this bat the same as WTLFPLX170?
Huff
The 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 and the WTLFPLX170 are the same bat.
Cameron
Does the 2017 LXT brand the same audio at contact as it did when it used the S1iD barrel technology?
Then Cal Athletics - Angulo
The sound of the ball making contact with this 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) should be very like to the sound that was made when making contact with the 2016 LXT Plus which featured the S1iD Barrel Technology.
Ben
How many hits are these bats good for? When should we look at getting a new bat? We have the 2016 model and information technology has been through ane 3/4 seasons.
softball dad
Information technology is tough to say how many hits or seasons ane would get from the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170, or any other bat for that matter, as there are likewise many variables (atmospheric condition, where the brawl is hit, how much the bat is being used day-to-day, etc).
Cameron
What is the divergence between the FPLX170 and FPLX171 bats?
James
The merely divergence between the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 and the FPLX171 is going to be the length to weight ratio. And so the FPLX170 has a -x and the FPLX171 has a -11 length to weight ratio.
Cooper
I recently have been using the 2016 XENO, would this be a better bat to move up to?
shepball
The 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) is going to exist a three-piece bat versus the XENO being two-piece. Both bats are first-class and would really come downwards to personal preference.
Jake
What is the divergence between the LXT hyper and the LXT plus?
Noa
The main divergence betwixt the 2016 Louisville Slugger LXT Plus Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX160 and the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 is the New Improved TRU3 Three-Piece Connection which offers Improve Feel & Increased Durability.
Carter
My daughter is a slapper. She bankrupt her 31"/xx oz size selection of the CF8. Need to get replacement quickly. I have heard actually good things about the LXT having the best operation. Even so, DeMarini has the CF9 Slapper with a xiv" barrel (claiming information technology is easier to control). (i) What is the butt length on the LXT? (2) Any comments or comparison notes on the LXT Hyper (-11) vs. the CF9 slapper (-10)?
csschlag
(one) The barrel length on the LXT models similar this 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) will be shut to xiii" in length. (ii) If you were to statically weigh a model of the FPLX171 and a CF9 Slapper of the same length, the LXT would technically be the lighter weighing bat (there may exist a shot that the CF9 Slapper could feel the same or lighter while swinging due to the depression M.O.I.). Besides, LXTs are very well counterbalanced bats and even though the Slapper is more designed for the manner in which your daughter hits, the LXT would definitely meet what she would need for a slap hitter.
Ben
Inside 2 weeks of purchasing bat it has a twist at butt and handle junction. I have heard that this is normal and that it is not normal both from LS reps. Who is telling the truth? If it is supposed to accept some give where practice I direct the umpire that wants to throw it out?
AO
The 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 features TRU3 - dynamic socket connection that allows for slight movement between barrel & handle. Louisville Slugger constructed the connection point in such a mode to help reduce vibration from off-centered hits. For umpires that are not familiar with the structure of the bat, we would recommend either looking on our site or giving LS a call to hash out this feature.
Cameron
What size bat would I get my daughter who is 5'two" and 120 lbs?
l2348
Based on your daughters superlative and weight nosotros would recommend getting a 32"/22oz bat. You could too go to a 32"/21oz if you felt that a -10 might be a little bit too heavy for her.
Carter
What is the difference between this bat and the XENO Plus FPXN170?
Bob
The 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 has a iii-slice construction that allows for additional barrel flex to maximize ability. The 2017 Louisville Slugger XENO Plus Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPXN170 has a ii-piece structure that creates a more stiff connectedness for maximum energy transfer.
Angelique
My daughter is 5'3" and weighs 140 lbs. What size bat would be recommended?
gennybaby8403
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170.
Jason
My girl has the 2014 Xeno I want to become her a new bat. When reading many commodity in most of them they say 2014 was the all-time yr for Xeno. She wants a new Xeno but everyone is saying LXT Hyper is a better bat. What are your thoughts?
Ker
The Xeno and the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 are essentially the same bat (besides an update in the blended fabric), but the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 features the New Improved TRU3 3-Slice Connection Piece which volition subtract the vibration felt in the easily.
Linsey
I am 5'0" and 140 lbs, what length should I get?
due north/a
For your top and weight, I would recommend a 32" 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170
Linsey
My girl has expressed interest in switching to the new XENO or LXT (from the DeMarini CF Series) and I desire to know what the barrel length is on both bats? As well, in your opinion which bat's construction would be better suited to a slap hitter?
Chris
When comparing both a 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) and a 2017 XENO (-10), both of these bats will accept a barrel length (end-cap to connection point) around 15.5". The LXT may take a slight reward in the length, but it volition be pretty minuscule. Overall, neither bat will inherently be the better bat for a slap hitter. Notwithstanding, the LXT features a more avant-garde connexion point that limits the vibration on miss-hits and allows for more flex at contact. Equally well, the XENO's connectedness point won't limit every bit much vibration, just it volition allow for a stiffer feel at connexion with the ball. The decision on a bat may come up down to the connexion point you prefer nigh. between the two bats.
Ben
I accept a 14-year-onetime girl that is currently hitting last year'southward Gainsay, one-piece (33"/23 oz). Previously had a XENO 32". With the Gainsay, her swing is tardily and she is hitting a lot of foul assurance. We are considering going dorsum to the 32". What bat would you recommend: the LXT or the XENO?
Mack
Overall, this 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) features more technology than the XENO as it has the TRU-3 Connection bespeak that limits the vibration that gets downward to a thespian'southward hands on a miss-hit and allows for more barrel flex at contact. As well those things and the cosmetics, the bats will be essentially the same. Since she has already swung a XENO and done well, I would recommend some other XENO.
Ben
My daughter is 10 years old and playing select. She'south a slapper. Is this bat a good bat for a slapper?
marc
Yes, the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 is a great bat for a slapper, it features a very lightweight swing weight which is ideal for that type of hitter.
Sean
My daughter is xiv and weighs 115 pounds and is iv'5". She has always used a DeMarini and she wants a Louisville. I do not want a slapper bat and not sure which bat is what I need. Do I need the 2017 LXT or Xeno?
Stephanie
Both the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) and the 2017 Louisville Slugger XENO Plus Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPXN170) are going to be very comparable bats. Neither of them are going to be a slapper bat. The main difference is the LXT is a three piece bat with a connection piece to limit vibrations while the Xeno is a two piece option. I would recommend the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) in the 31"/21 ounce version.
Carter
Would you recommend on the LXT the drop ten or the drop eleven for a loftier schoolhouse freshman? Right at present she uses the 2016 LXT 33" drop eleven.
WTD
The right drop to go a player will depend on the weight of the bat one is currently using and how well the player is capable of handling this bat/weight. Ideally, when a player gets into high school a drop 10 would be a better long term fit but for some players who are FR they might still demand to swing a drib 11. We would recommend consulting with the player'south coaches who know her swing to get a ameliorate feel for the proper drop to swing.
Cameron
Will information technology be ok to use these bats on a pitching machine? I've heard ii different sides. Likewise does this bat have to be broken in?
Softball Mom
As long as the pitching machine is using real softballs than the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 volition be fine. Since it is a composite bat we recommend about 150-200 hits with a quarter turn afterwards each hit to break in the bat.
Sean
Any changes between the 2014 to the 2017 LXT Fastpitch Softball Bat?
manders
The connection piece on the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 is quite a bit meliorate as far as feel and durability is concerned.
Logan
Where is the serial number identifying the bat or the identifying model number?
jerry
The Identifying Model number is "FPLX170" and it is posted on the barrel of the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170).
Carter
I'm looking at a variety of bats not this one alone. My daughter is five'2", 100 lbs and xi years quondam. She is a right handed hitter. Any recommendations on length and weight?
joan
Based on her height and weight, nosotros would recommend getting the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 in a 32 inch 22 ounce model.
Cameron
My girl is 14, in ninth grade, and playing for the varsity loftier school squad and with her 16u select squad. She is v'9" and 135 lbs; pure athlete. She is a power hitter. She has been using DeMarini -ten 33/23 for the last couple of years. She is looking to make the switch to LS, and we accept been comparing XENO and the LXT Hyper -ten. Which bat would you recommend for my daughter with her switch, and why?
They call her ATrain
I would recommend the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) for your girl. This and the Xeno are very like. The Xeno is a 2 piece bat while this one is a 3 piece option. The TRU3 Connectedness piece is going to limit vibrations for her and offering a improve feel over the Xeno.
Carter
What size bat should I become my daughter? She is 5'5" and about 130 lbs.
kaylee softball
Based on your daughters height and weight I would advise going with a 33" 23 oz. 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170.
Sean
What is the departure betwixt LXT and XENO besides just the construction? Is there a performance deviation?
JWTIII
The main departure betwixt the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 and the 2017 Louisville Slugger XENO Plus Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPXN170 is the 3-piece blueprint of the LXT whereas the XENO has a ii-piece pattern. What this allows the LXT is additional flex (more vibration reduction), more counterbalanced swing weight feel and a slightly larger sweet spot when compared to the XENO.
Cameron
What's the lowest temp. exterior should you not use bat in?
maelly
We generally recommend not using the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170 in temperatures below 55 degrees.
Logan
My daughter is xiii and five'0"/82 lbs. She is currently using an Easton FS1 (31"/21 oz). She is a good hitter, but not getting the ball to go every bit far as she would like. We are thinking of a LXT or a XENO in the 32"/22 oz or 32"/21 oz size. I have read that the Easton bats tend to exist a bit heavier. What would you recommend and what size?
Yuki
Based on your daughters top and weight and what bat she had used previously I would recommend the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX171) 32"/21 ounce bat for her.
Carter
My daughter is 18 yrs old 5'-iii" high schoolhouse senior playing Varsity ball. Singles hitter with 'Pop'. She has bankrupt the past ii Zeno bats and we are thinking near irresolute to the LXT. What length bat and which drop weight practise you recommend?
Hit em and Rip em
Based on your role player's elevation, I would suggest a 32" 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170. It's difficult for us to determine a weight, as we are unable to see the player'due south swing. That would exist a better question to enquire a coach, but a -10 such as the bat above, would be a good general proffer.
Logan
Does Louisville LXT make a end loaded bat for 2017?
John
Unfortunately, In the 2017 line of bats Louisville Slugger does non have an end loaded bat. The 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) is a counterbalanced bat.
Carter
My daughter has your 2015 LXT bat and loves information technology. My daughter has a fast bat speed, is 5'2" and weighs about 105. What size would you suggest?
Anissa
For her pinnacle and weight, we would recommend a 32" length of bat.
Kyle J.
My daughter is in 14U, is 14 yrs onetime, weighs 108 lbs and is 5'4". She has had the 2016 Xeno 32" -10 merely information technology needs to exist replaced and needs more than power off the bat. What size would you recommend?
Cindy
Based on your daughter'south height and weight I would advise going with the 32" 22 oz 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX170.
Sean
My girl is 13 yrs old and five'9". She has great bat speed but I just do not know what size or make of bat to buy.
Eric
We would need to know your daughters weight to make an authentic recommendation on the length of the bat just I would definately recommend the 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) for her.
Carter
My daughter is starting 12u this fall and merely busted her LXT today (30"/19 oz). What size would y'all adopt?
Chicken Little
For about 12 year old fastpitch players, nosotros are suggesting a 31" length bat. I would recommend going after this 2017 Louisville Slugger LXT Hyper Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX170) in the 31" length as long every bit she can handle the 21 oz weight.
Ben
